    Joe is a content marketer, journalist, and academic who has spearheaded content programs for dozens of businesses. He was the editor of the martech trade publication Street Fight from 2018 to 2023. Joe earned his BA from Brown and his PhD in comparative literature from Cornell.

  • Mike Shields - Narrative Builder, Adtech

    Mike Shields has worked in the digital media world for over two decades. After starting his career as a media planner at Ammirati Puris Lintas, Shields transitioned to become a journalist, covering the evolution of the digital ad industry for publications such as Adweek, Digiday, the Wall Street Journal and Business Insider.

  • Paul Knegten - Marketing Strategist

    Paul Knegten is a B2B marketing executive, most recently having held CMO positions at Outbrain (NASDAQ: OB), Beeswax (acquired by Comcast). He led marketing at MediaMath, Dapper (acquired by Yahoo!) and co-founded Amitree.

  • Jovana Klajn - Project Manager

    Jovana is a project manager at Sharp Pen. She brings her experience in production and project management, where she gained expertise in managing project timelines, optimizing productivity, and collaborating with teams to drive growth. She earned her MA in Spanish language and literature from the University of Kragujevac, Serbia.

  • Karlos Bautista - Writer

    Karlos writes for Sharp Pen's clients using the skills he cultivated as a journalist and strategic communications analyst. He earned his BA at Brown.

  • Baylor Knobloch - Associate

    Baylor is an experienced storyteller working as a writer and editor for Sharp Pen with a background in journalism and media production. When not crafting tech communications, she writes and edits for online publications In The Know and Humor Darling. Baylor earned her BA at Brown.

  • Marc Kohlbry - Associate

    Marc brings a decade of editorial experience to his work with Sharp Pen. Much of this he gained while living in Paris, France, where he edited, translated, and told stories for businesses and universities. Marc received his BA from USC, MAs from NYU and Cornell, and a PhD from Cornell on the subjects of technology, politics, and the arts.
